OSHA Makes Decision to Renew Alliance Program

OSHA and the AESC will work together during their three-year alliance to reduce the number of accidents and injuries in the oil fields and oil processing facilities. Together, the agencies will provide training resources for member companies and employees. The program helps create relationships with groups such as trade organizations, unions, faith and community-based organizations, and other institutions to provide training and resources designed to prevent accidents and injuries.

Although OSHA and the AESC work hard to help keep oil and gas workers safe, oil and gas employers play the largest role in worker safety. Employers are required by law to provide all safety training and equipment necessary for workers, but safety goes beyond hard hats and training sessions.
